The Land at Middle Path
The property viewed from the south-east showing the accomplished reafforestation
The property is just over 5 acres, it is blessed with an abundance of spring-supplied water and has a rich diversity of character.
We have created a network of pathways to allow pleasant and easy walking throughout the property.
Our 4WD suzuki can easily negotiate these tracks for maintenance and development.

Water is fully supplied by nature - we capture, filter and store rainwater in two 10,000-gallon (45,000-litre) concrete water tanks, one of which sports a tank-top garden (known locally as “the hanging gardens of Middle Path”).
Our main supply comes from 4 natural springs which feed the main lake and - when tested - was declared “the best water in and around Maleny”.
You can see the clarity of this water below - remarkable clear for a man-made water storage.

Extensive re-vegetation work has converted this once-tired-cow-paddock into a lush and verdant wildlife sanctuary.
In excess of 5,000 trees and shrubs have been planted which has created the wildlife-welcoming environment and qualified us as an official “Land for Wildlife” property.
We estimate that the trees alone can absorb the CO2 emissions released by 200 cars which makes a significant contribution to reducing Australia's “carbon footprint”.

The clarity of the lake water is demonstrated by this paddle which is thrust about 1 metre below the surface.

The main lake has been stocked with yellow-belly and Silver Perch over 15 years ago.
Many fishing birds - including cormorants, darters and pelicans - call in during the year to enjoy the abundant food supply.
